Cebu City
Everything you Need to Know about Metro Cebu
Also known as Metro Cebu, this is the island's capital and the second city of the Philippines. It’s also the oldest city in the country. Cebu is a city of trade and commerce, reminiscent of Manila but somewhat less chaotic and more endearing with a noticeably slower pace.
Due to its geographical and economical position at the centre of the Visayas, it is almost inevitable that you will pass through Cebu at some point. Cebu offers some home comforts in the form of western food outlets and mega shopping malls. The island is peppered with historic sites offering fascinating insights into the country's colonial past.
Other fun to be found is partaking in the Filipino's national pastime, dancing. The nightlife will not disappoint, evenings can be spent eating and drinking before heading down to Mango Square for some dancing, Filipino style.
