Our Subic Bay map will help you to get oriented in this beautiful area on the western shore of Luzon Island. Subic is a deep and sheltered bay located about 100 km west of Manila. The bay was formerly used to host the largest US Naval Base in the country, which was closed in 1992 and converted into an industrial and commercial area known as Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
The military importance of Subic Bay in the past has completely evolved into commercial importance. Apart from the closure of the US Navy Base, many wrecks of Japanese warships sunk during World War II now offer popular dive sites all around the bay. The Pamulaklakin Nature Park is also a popular area for those who like trekking and nature. The park features two trails that offer a close look to the great fauna and flora that abound around Subic Bay.
